Sun Life Financial - Dunk for Diabetes
Sun Life wanted to develop an awareness campaign to highlight the program and the positive effect it has on children’s lives and their families. In collaboration with the NBA, Toronto Raptors, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, we developed an endearing and fun spot where kids are surprised by the Toronto Raptors' Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam. After the big surprise, the commercial ends on a fun basketball game.
This was a national campaign that consisted of a Television commercial during the 2018-2019 NBA season. The spot also was played at the Air Canada Centre (Scotiabank arena) during home games, and numerous assets were created like homepage takeovers, banners, and Facebook ads. Not only was the spot a success, but given the Toronto Raptors' successful campaign during the regular and postseason, the spot airtime was extended well into the 2019 NBA championship final.
